My masters thesis gets the “i actually tried” version of this figure I made for presentations
Figure for rna editing in octopuses. Black and white illustration of a ruby octopus, with a box around their eyes that says optic lobe. And arrow points to a strand of RNA which then points to the enzyme ADAR, pointing to 3 strands of black ink that are curled in slightly different ways. The black ink strands are proteins, curled in different ways to represent slightly modified protein functionPhoto of me presenting at SICB with the same illustration as the other photo, but much more simpler and more cartoony version of a squid that is pink.
