Since mifepristone became available at Canadian pharmacies in 2017, the percentage of medication abortions increased from 8% to 56%. Yet 6% of regions have no pharmacy, and 20% still don’t have a pharmacy that dispenses mifepristone. @drlschummers.bsky.social www.medscape.com/viewarticle/...

We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines. The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds. It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.

Practical self-defense tip: when folks say "do your own research" about vaccines (for example), what they often mean is "go google studies, conducted using methods you are not trained to rigorously evaluate, that you can then use to reinforce your existing beliefs via a lot of confirmation bias."
