Lakitu's Japanese name, Jugemu, is taken from a folk tale about a boy with an extremely long name. However, the name is so absurdly long that several other Lakitu-related names were also taken from different parts of it, and it still has space for more references in the future.

"Jugemu" is a Japanese folk story about a boy with an extremely long name. After giving Lakitu a name in Japanese that referenced it, this became a running gag in Mario games, resulting in various spiky or Lakitu-adjacent entities taking names from it.
Here is how the story goes:
A father goes to the local temple to ask the priest for a good name for his newborn son. The priest suggests many different names that are supposed to bring good fortune. Unable to decide, the father simply named his son every single suggestion all at once.
The boy's name is...

welp that's RTA world record! This run had some quite decent luck, and even with some misplays I managed to close it out. unfortunately you won't see this on SR.C unless you manually sort by RTA (once it's verified) since the IGT is slower than my PB 📼▶️ chargedgarlic.net/video.php?id...

As a collector, I would like to pass on wisdom to the new game and TCG collectors out there. Only get cards or collectables graded by an authenticator organization if you are planning to sell in the short term. Grading by encasing in a plastic slab is NOT a good preservation strategy long term.

I don't plan to talk much about how Pokémon FireRed / LeafGreen Switch version works emulation wise. I still did a little look though: - Still using Sloop as the GBA emulator - The ROMs are actually heavily modified and rebuilt - Seems to have heavy code changes with reliance on emulator hacks

I would recommend to allow the time stop to be infinite, I think it's a little too difficult by default lol store.steampowered.com/app/1717570/...
