I have basically been creatively constipated for the last two years but I am on my fiber now and it's all going to come out finally

Yes one day I will upload a video about visiting themed attractions in Japan, and the next I will write 13 pages about minutia about the Pokemon Emerald Battle Frontier. I truly am just going to make whatever I want.

Yes. I had an online friend who wasn't allowed to use the computer on weekdays. He used Internet Channel to sign into MSN messenger from the browser to keep chatting.

Pokemon may mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people now. But what Pokemon means to me is all mine. It'll always be mine. Even if it's something else to somebody else.

I was looking up if you can still watch Rent Live from 2019 and results said it was something you could watch on Prime and I said to myself "oh ok, you can rent it."

Sometimes it's hard to know if when Tsunekazu Ishihara said they didn't expect Pokemon to be a hit they were just being humble, but then you remember that they sold the anime rights to Warner Bros in the 90s for dirt cheap and lost a ton of money as a result.

Happy twenty-third day of the month of September for those who celebrate

How common is data mining in making Pokemon databases? Do fansites ever cite where hidden info like EV yield and experience group and whatnot comes from? I think the expectation that each individual website sit down and reverse engineer all of these stats for every Pokemon isn't realistic, right?

Tama Hero @tamahero.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

It seems insane to say but I think I literally until today had a complete misconception of what the game of Pokemon actually is. You do not need to memorize every single Pokemon, move and ability to play well. You just need to learn what the threats are relative to your own Pokemon. That's it.

Tama Hero @tamahero.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I had a shower thought yesterday that I should make a video in which I attempt to memorize all of the Pokemon that can appear in the Emerald Battle Frontier and use this crammed knowledge to play better somehow.

Everyone is doing their 9 anime, but I was a manga girlie who traded volumes with other kids at school. These are the manga I was obsessed with and read over an over again.

9 Manga
Kodocha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Azumanga Daioh
Tokyo Mew Mew, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura
Fruits Basket, Ranma 1/2, Chobits

EVs forced you to have a deeper level of knowledge to do well. Like in Gen 1 and 2, your Pokemon could just have the max possible stats and you could throw it into most situations without worrying. In Gen 3, you had to min max, so you had to be more careful about knowing and covering weaknesses.

I'm reading a book about Japanese Culture. It's so fascinating that there are so many different ways societies can organize. Like we're all the same species on the same planet, but we can and prioritize vastly different things, and still land on a sustainable way to survive completely separately.

If I could go back in time and tell 13-year-old me that someday Pokemon would put me on Pokemon.com and host a meet and greet for me, or that someday Nintendo would send me video games, I think I'd just about die on the spot.

I might have to watch the Magic Knight Rayearth reboot. I've skipped MG reboots because SM Crystal was disappointing and no way a modern CCS could pass the production value of the original. But I'm of the unpop opinion that the original MKR wasn't good and I'm excited to see it get a 2nd chance.

I was 8 years old and in California 25 years ago. The main way 9/11 impacted me at the time was that from that moment on, the news was ALWAYS on. I thought it was stressful, and my dad would rant to me in the car about political stuff. We wrote cards for people who had been impacted at school.

Beast of Reincarnation is made by the same people who work on Pokemon games, most of supervisory roles are GameFreak staff with credits that go back as far as Sword and Shield. But Conceptually a modern GameFreak game, and made in a similar way that Pokemon games are made these days.
