like i say every time this comes up, the term for what awaits survivors who go through the official system (cops, rape kit at the hospital, the hell of a trial where you as the victim get to be cross examined by yr rapist’s defense) is called “the second rape”

Another big one is teaching your son to see girls as equals. Instead of enrolling him in sex-segregated sports, introduce him to a co-ed team. And help him foster his more “feminine” interests where we can be in mixed-sex spaces, making mixed-sex friend groups.

One big takeaway from this hearing is that Barack Obama and Joe Biden did a world of good to the D.C. Circuit when they appointed former trial judges to it. And with good reason, Judges Robert Wilkins, Michelle Childs, and Florence Pan have all been lighting into the Justice Department quite a bit.
