The hardest part about working at PC Gamer is figuring out how to spend our time between issues. Working on a magazine involves three weeks of intense, 12-hour-plus days of work, followed by a week of regrouping and slacking. It's a never-ending cycle, and after a while, it becomes more and more difficult to while away that week where nothing much happens. Well, as we close out the December issue, we have settled upon a bold and powerful new experiment that will challenge our minds and our bodies, and possibly make us question our own sanity.

And so the PC Gamer team has decided to eat a bucket of chicken every day for a week. Tensions ran high, as Gary and Greg fought for nearly two hours about what fixin's should be included with the bucket. Greg wanted slaw, but Gary wanted nothing to do with it. Eventually, Billy and Todd intervened and created a compromise - two sides of potatoes, one side of slaw.
Undoubtedly, Bucket Week will prove to be our undoing. Beyond the slaw incident, Greg was upset that he was not allowed to partake in the most recent bucket (he was in a meeting when we ordered). Once again, a compromise was reached, and he was allowed one cold piece of chicken, a bit of slaw, and half a biscuit. The most distressing trend, however, is those among us who refuse to eat from the bucket, instead ordering the current rage (or outrage, if you will) - popcorn chicken. Brrrr.
But like mountaineers, we shall push
onward, past the non-believers, past the
mockers, past the people who say we will
be dead by the end of it all. They just
don't understand. Bucket Week is merely
a precursor to the ultimate challenge:
