PSA for anyone that uses a Samsung Galaxy phone. The latest update added a "Galaxy AI" menu to your settings. You have you go in and opt in to having your data pricessed exclusively on your device, or else samsung's gunna default to scooping it all up into their cloud

A post that reads "You remember #Apple scanning all images on your #mobile device?

If you have an #Android #phone, a new app that doesn't appear in your menu has been automatically and silently installed (or soon will be) by #Google. It is called #AndroidSystemSafetyCore and does exactly the same - scan all images on your device as well as all incoming ones (via messaging). The new spin is that it does so "to protect your #privacy".

You can uninstall this app safely via System -> Apps."

I am getting spotty reports of hospital systems in blue states cancelling gender affirming care appointments for those under 19 years of age. If true, this would be a major problem, as systems comply with illegal EOs in advance out of fear of DOJ weaponization. Please let me know if yours has.

As a disabled artist, I'm so fucking sick of hearing people say that being anti-AI is ableist. Art is one of the few careers open to disabled people, and now we have to compete with robots. When our jobs are eliminated, we can't just get a labor job to replace it.
