Yeah and it devalues all the organizing that people do remotely, which feels in parallel to a lot of the “back to office” speak from corporations… which of course eventually pushes out disabled people who can’t be there to do all that irreplaceable in-person “collaboration”. Just ableism all around

Lately, I've seen ableism show up as the idea that people are more worthy when they're "out there in person" making & doing things, rather than "lying around at home" or on a keyboard. This framing ties our value to productivity & devalues people w chronic illness who are homebound
