Treat this like a tabletop: Update inventory, documentation and contacts. Best case scenario, your documentation is current and you can log a tabletop exercise. Worst case - you’ll be better prepared to update where you have control and you’ll have a list of vendors to check in with. #TwentyBillion

Buckle up. One of the pending #curl CVEs that we publish next week is graded severity HIGH. Considered the worst flaw found in curl in several years. Yes, found with AI.

A colleague said «You can’t smell PC sweat.» I think of that a lot. And of Grace Hoppers nanosecond cable. Another colleague made a script that checked for a file, looping until there was one. The network traffic was noticeable, so we added a couple of seconds pause to the loop and were both happy.

We are completely sold on AI being a pivotal factor in attacks that will require its own defenses, but AI is not going to be using Star Trek guns for everything. It's gonna be the same stuff that gets it through all the other defense layers, same as human attackers. Stick with the core mandate.

Love the last line here
Screenshot of text from bbc article that says “A river that is home to about 500 saltwater crocodiles has been given the OK to host Olympic and Paralympic rowing and canoeing events at the 2032 Brisbane Games.
The course on the Fitzroy River in Rockhampton, Queensland, has passed an independent technical assessment into its suitability.
The assessment did not consider the crocodiles”

September Windows Server updates break Remote Desktop Services
Windows admins report that the September 2026 security updates are causing Remote Desktop Services (RDS) failures on Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 servers, preventing users from connecting and, in some cases, requiring a hard reset to restore functionality.
