Thinking of a new talk framed around climate catastrophe but zooms out to a much bigger question. The way we live and produce can’t continue indefinitely, yet so much of our technological response is about making the existing system more efficient rather than imagining a genuinely different one.

i went to the pharmacy where they replaced the card readers with ipads and instead of telling the pharmacist your name and birthday you have to type all your info onto the screen and i watched a confused old man reckoning with this i saw the fear in his eyes and i frowned and saw my own future
