IIRC, my first racket or two were wooden frames, but I'm pretty sure I got my first aluminum one by high school. I remember my friends laughing in the late '80s at a magazine cover with Bjorn Borg holding a wooden racket talking about trying to make a comeback. I was like, "F the haters, Bjorn!"

When I was on a safety committee, I took a small measure of satisfaction in those moments where I could rightly say to myself, "Y'know, I could email this picture to OSHA right now and this place would be fucked" but I'm a team player so I never did that.

I actually watched it again for the first time in years. It did not disappoint! It inspired me to pick this up at a local book fair last weekend.
