Generative AI is a scourge on the world as a whole and the creative sector specifically. It is anti-creativity cynically masquerading as accessibility, rampant theft under the guise of democratising knowledge, erasure of information and a destructive homogenising of the world around us. It can do a small number of very specific things well, a large number of things badly and a lot of things not at all, yet it is being pushed as panacea and god by grifters and liars. The ecological and social impacts are enormous and it is criminally irresponsible to keep forging ahead with this terrible technology. We are in a climate emergency and every new data centre put up for this stuff is a slap in the face of humanity and our shared future. It is not progress, it is regression on a truly ludicrous scale, and every day we don't actively fight it is a day that we could have saved some of our children but instead condemned them to a burning planet where knowledge and creativity are actively set aside in favour of a beige slop and we learn nothing, make nothing, and do nothing. I for one do not wish to live in a world where we sit and stare while machines churn out content for other machines to consume until the burning land and rising sea ends us all, and I will resist every attempt to drag us towards that future in the name of "progress".

I'm most interested in Ocarina of Time's apparent fascination with a more logically constructed world. A floating platform is replaced with a crumbling bridge. A ladder suspended by nothing is held in place by a stone mechanism. I'm curious to see if the whole world abides by this design.

Zelda Direct Predictions: OoT Remake trailer, movie trailer, announcement of some 40th anniversary merch, maybe a custom switch 2 for the remake, then MAYBE a wind waker/twilight princess HD on switch 2, then MAYBE a tease/title for the next mainline Switch 2 Zelda to round it out.
