I'm becoming more interested in the parts of Ocarina Nintendo has shown us *none* of. Zero footage of the well, the ice cavern, or the lost woods, to my knowledge. Has me thinking they could be slightly overhauled, and maybe Nintendo is keeping them under wraps for a reason.

Live-service games have destroyed the convo surrounding Mario Kart World. I'm always hearing "I haven't had a reason to go back to Mario Kart in months..." What about the reason that it's really fun? Double Dash got zero updates ever and we all played it for years. Let fun be reason enough.

I'm most interested in Ocarina of Time's apparent fascination with a more logically constructed world. A floating platform is replaced with a crumbling bridge. A ladder suspended by nothing is held in place by a stone mechanism. I'm curious to see if the whole world abides by this design.

Ocarina has always looked a little uncanny. I think the new art style perfectly suits this weird world. I also think art style discourse is the most boring form of new Zelda analysis. I'm more interested in the bridge in The Great Deku Tree that's never been there before, expanded dialogue, etc!

I was initially bummed Ocarina isn't a reimagining. But I got over that pretty quickly. I'm thrilled that Nintendo is returning to classic, linear 3D Zelda, even if it's a faithful remake. This type of Zelda deserves a role in the franchise's future, alongside open world and top down games.

Love how Ocarina of Time looks like it *controls* just like Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom. Sprinting, Jump mapped to X, third-person aiming with gyro controls. It will feel familiar to newer fans, but take them through a very old-school adventure. I can't wait.

Monolith has always been a leading candidate for the Ocarina in my mind. Their second team -- the one that worked on BotW/TotK, NOT the Xenoblade devs! -- has been growing, and Nintendo has stated they want Monolith to make more Zelda "from scratch."
