TODAY #Philadelphia @standupforscience.bsky.social 11am City Hall. There may or may not be a cute cat picture added along with the flyer and pics of my double sided sign below (secret: it is actually 4-sided…my special “quadrisign”, patent pending). #StandUpForScience #50501 #Indivisible #NoKings
The image shows a handwritten protest sign with bold text on a white background with blue borders. The sign reads "RESEARCH" (in black with blue outlines) at the top, followed by "IS CHEAPER THAN" (in red with a red arrow pointing to it), and "DISEASE" (in black with blue outlines) at the bottom. The sign appears to be advocating for research funding by highlighting that investing in research is more cost-effective than treating diseases after they occur. The image shows a handwritten sign on a light background that reads:

"NIH GRANTS
BRING PA
$5.23 BILLION
IN ECONOMIC ACTIVITY
FY 2024"

At the bottom right corner, there appears to be text indicating "SOURCE: UNITED FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH"A promotional flyer for 'Stand Up For Science 2025' featuring the Statue of Liberty in light blue against a blue background. The statue holds a torch with a yellow flame. Red banners contain white text announcing the event details: March 7, 2025 at Philadelphia City Hall at 11 AM. The flyer includes the tagline 'SCIENCE IS FOR EVERYONE' and directs viewers to find their local rally site at standupforscience2025.org. The design combines patriotic imagery with bold, modern typography in red and white."A black and white tuxedo cat, our Hermione, with bright yellow eyes stares directly at the camera with a surprised expression. Hermione is nestled in what appears to be a fabric hammock or bed with colorful rainbow stripes in the background. Hermione, one of our three rescue cat from West Philadelphia, looks excited and alert as if she's ready for today's Stand Up For Science event happening at Philadelphia City Hall.
