Meanwhile on his watch we’ve had the EHRC Code come into effect (I know that was in the works before him), we’ve had Section 28 introduced, we’ve had today’s announcements of segregation in the NHS and civil service. He hasn’t even said anything remotely pro trans. He’s a transphobe.

The NHS's revised guidance on single-sex wards is cruel, unworkable and LGBTIQA+ Greens calls on Labour to withdraw it and reform the Equality Act.

The NHS revised guidance does not offer privacy, dignity or safety to trans people.
Placing trans people on the incorrect “same-sex” hospital wards by default is wrong and unworkable, which is why it also states exceptions for clinical need and a mention of alternative provision.
This is a continuation of the incomprehensible interpretation of the Equality Act 2010 that the supreme court ruled for. We call on the Labour government to withdraw this guidance and reform the Equality Act to end the policing of trans people in single gendered spaces.
