Hot take but I think if you don’t want to have your CURRENT and ONGOING friendship with a terrorist come to light maybe…don’t be friends with a terrorist? The media is obviously acting in bad faith. That’s a given. The story is still true, as much as people want to dismiss it.

I've been called a 'centrist', 'Starmer bootlicker' and equivalent for opposing ZiR. There's a weird framing that every opponent is some liberal or right wing crank. Completely unrelated, just going to share this. (I wouldn't really be so sure about anarco-syndacalism specifically but yeah).
A screenshot of the result of the 12axes political test. It shows that I hold anarchist beliefs. It says the most compatible political philosopher with me is Michel Foucault, and that my closest ideology is anarcho-syndicalism.

With regards to the 12 axes, I hold the following:

Federal: 71%, Democracy: 97%, Liberty: 84%, Multiculturalism: 97%, Pacifism: 91%, Non-interventionist: 63%, Public: 100%, Planning: 81%, Globalism: 78^, Irreligious: 88%, Progressive: 99%, Biology: 68%

13.147 then follows on (same page). Key part: "A legitimate aim for excluding a trans person from a separate or single-sex service for their own sex might be to prevent discomfort or distress for other service users."
A screenshot of text that reads "A legitimate aim for excluding a trans person from a separate or single-sex service for their own sex might be to prevent discomfort or distress for other service users. Service providers should consider whether other service users could reasonably object because they are worried about sharing a single or separate-sex service with someone who appears to be of the opposite sex. That will depend on all the circumstances, including the nature of the service
in question and the extent to which the trans person presents as the opposite sex. For this reason, a service provider (including a person providing a service in the exercise of public functions) should only consider doing this on a case-by-case basis."

This is in the EHRC Code, Section 13.146, page 268: www.equalityhumanrights.com/sites/defaul... Unfortunately it's not as you say. Trans men can be excluded from both men and women's spaces, from men's because of sex at birth, but from women's because women could find trans men "objectionable".
A screenshot of text that reads "For example, a trans man might be excluded from the women-only service if the service provider decides that, because he presents as a man, other service users could reasonably object to his presence, and excluding him is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim."

These waiting times at GICs for a FIRST (first!) appointment are completely outrageous. Over 1000 people waiting over 5 years, and thousands in general waiting years for any appointment. The NHS in Scotland as well as the SNP can fuck off.

How has your trans son been screwed over by this govt? We tabled legislation last week to ban conversion therapy including on trans, are improving trans healthcare. It would have been much easier if the Supreme Court had reached a different result based on the Equality Act 2010 and if we didn’t have the most clear as mud ‘guidance’ from EHRC.

James Murray again repeating his transphobic lying talking points today
A screenshot of a speech from James Murray which reads: " I do not think that there is any question that a few years ago, children’s safety and wellbeing was not being protected when it came to gender incongruence. From around 2009, the number of children and young people being referred for NHS support around their gender identity increased rapidly. Stories subsequently emerged of young people struggling after undergoing radical and permanent transition surgery at an early age, of children rushed into taking medication without adequate therapy beforehand, and of clinicians disregarding conditions such as neurodiversity and mental health issues. As such, there was rightly deep concern about the vulnerability of these children and young people, the care and treatments they were receiving, and the surge in referrals. And so, in 2020, NHS England commissioned the leading paediatrician, Dr Hilary Cass, to carry out a review into NHS gender identity services for under-18s.

What Dr Cass uncovered was shocking and scandalous, and she made a series of recommendations for how children can be better protected and supported. It was, in my mind, unquestionably wrong for children and young people to be routinely prescribed puberty blockers for gender dysphoria without any clear evidence on their benefits or risks. The situation then was out of control and so I fully supported the indefinite ban introduced by my predecessor, my right hon. Friend the Member for Ilford North (Wes Streeting), which followed the temporary ban brought in by the previous Government."

What about the threat that Burnham poses? He's about to be PM and is determined to continue the Government's transphobic crusade. Here he is, in his own words, explicitly backing trans segregation and the EHRC code.
A screenshot of a The Guardian article which reads: "Asked about new guidance on single sex spaces, Andy Burnham said: “I think the time has come to take the Supreme Court ruling and the guidance and implement it, but to do it in a way that protects those spaces but does not marginalise already marginalised communities, that’s my view.

“My mum and dad brought me up to live and let live. I think Britain needs to get back to a more ‘live and let live’ approach to life, not where we’re constantly arguing with each other, being judgmental about each other.

“Lets implement the guidance, but to do it in the fairest and most compassionate way possible.”

He said he thought Britain had done too much of rerunning arguments. “We’ve got to stop arguing with each other. We’ve got to start by finding some common ground and start pulling together,” he added."

Sorry, the more I read, the more angry I get - James Murray is yet another diehard transphobe who will ruin the lives of trans children (notably, he never uses the word "trans", but does repeat transphobe talking points repeatedly:
A screenshot of a statement from James Murray, Health Secretary of the UK which reads: " I do not believe that children’s safety and wellbeing was being adequately protected just a few years ago. I think it would be helpful to remind Members how we arrived at that point. For several years before the turn of the decade, the number of children and young people being referred for NHS support around their gender identity increased rapidly. Stories subsequently emerged of young people struggling after undergoing radical and permanent transition surgery at a young age, children being rushed into taking medication without adequate therapy beforehand, and clinicians disregarding conditions such as neurodiversity and mental health conditions. As such, there was rightly deep concern about the vulnerability of these children and young people, the care and treatment they were receiving and the surge in referrals. "

And this from our new transphobic Health Secretary, literally factual inaccuracies, and endorsing conversion practices as a first line response - no, most children don't just 'question their gender in that way', no, therapy is completely ineffective and is just conversion again
A statement by James Murray MP that reads: " As Dr Cass has said, the vast majority of children and young people who question their gender will resolve it without needing any support other than that of their friends and family. For many young people, questioning their identity on many different fronts is a normal part of growing up, and we should simply let them be. For a small number of young people, though, greater support is needed because of the level and longevity of the discomfort that they feel. That can often involve counselling or therapy. For a very, very small number of young people, it is possible—I emphasise the word “possible”—that medical treatment would help to improve their quality of life and mental health, and reduce their gender-related distress."

I remember arguing with someone who said the Lib Dems were "perfect" on trans rights - what about this is "perfect"? In it Helen Morgan says: "We agree that treatment should first be based on talking therapies" (!) - that reads like an endorsement of the conversion practices first approach.
A speech to Parliament from a Lib Dem MP that reads: " We agree that treatment should first be based on talking therapies, so that patients are given the space and support that they need, but it is crucial that young people can start those therapies as a matter of urgency, not after years of delay. Decisions about these young patients’ futures should be made in an informed way, with expert clinicians and based on the best possible evidence, which the NHS must build up safely and effectively. We support prioritising clinical evidence, so that patients’ interests are put at the heart of decision making in all areas of healthcare. Guidance and decisions around puberty blockers must be led by experts and clinical evidence, and not influenced by ideological opinion. That is why we supported the decision of the former Secretary of State, the right hon. Member for Ilford North (Wes Streeting), to pause the Pathways clinical trial while concerns raised by the MHRA were thoroughly addressed. Will the Secretary of State confirm whether the MHRA has confirmed that the concerns that led to the withdrawal of the trial have been substantially addressed, and how many children are expected to take part in the trial now that its parameters have been altered?"

Again, where is the mention of the Government's transphobia? Why is it we're back to it being constantly omitted from your criticism? We were here only a few weeks ago FFS. Does segregation not matter enough? Why does it feel like we have to force Zack into making statements on transphobia?
A post from the leader of the English and Welsh Green party Zack which reads "Bills up.

The Cass report is bigoted nonsense, as this series examines well (and there are many other critiques too): gidmk.substack.com/p/the-cass-r...
"What we can say with some certainty is that the most impactful review of gender services for children was seriously, perhaps irredeemably, flawed. The document made numerous basic errors, cited conversion therapy in a positive way, and somehow concluded that the only intervention with no evidence whatsoever behind it was the best option for transgender children.

I have no good answers to share, but the one thing I can say is that the Cass review is flawed enough that I wouldn’t base policy decisions on it. The fact that so many have taken such an error-filled document at face value, using it to drive policy for vulnerable children, is very unfortunate."

The Guardian here completely erasing that a) Brianna Ghey was trans and b) that she was murdered because she was trans. Reading this passage, you'd think Brianna was murdered because she was 'risky' on social media (perhaps through talking to people she shouldn't etc), not because she was trans.
A screenshot of a The Guardian newspaper article extract, which reads:

"Starmer also met Esther Ghey, who favours an under-16 ban saying “as it stands, social media represents a serious risk to under-16s”. Her daughter, Brianna, was murdered in 2023 and she believes social media addiction contributed to her daughter’s mental health issues, leading to her taking risks with her personal safety."
