something that fascinates me about this is how, for many years, whole teams inside giant tech companies were devoted to preventing exactly this scenario you didn't 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 most of your traffic to be from bots trying to game the system, so people worked hard to prevent it

its a pity because the trailer looks beautiful. i love samantha sloyan's portrayals of white cis women and it has matthew lillard but if you decide the white girl with the clear skin, tiny waist and doe eyes needs to be the kid who gets mobbed the whole context of the movie shifts.

not sure why so many hate on mike flanagan because i like his stuff but the first work that doesn't speak to me is his carrie movie. social media convos have pointed that out before and i agree: making the bullied social outcast a thin, pretty, white girl is a very white, very cis male thing.

Weil eine unübersehbare Masse von Studien belegt, dass eine Wohnung der Einstieg ist um einen Job zu halten, nicht in Abhängigkeit zu rutschen und das Gesundheitssystem nicht mit teuren Notfallbehandlungen zu belasten. Wohnungslosigkeit ist inhuman und belastet die Gesellschaft finanziell.

As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing

Because they like cis men rapists. Everything they do is to make it easier for cis men to be rapists. They are best friends with rapists + child abusers. Trans people existing and bringing in knowledge and education about sexuality and sexual boundaries are making it harder for cis rapists to exist.

I should preface this by saying I have no problem at all with Giancarlo's horny Pre-Raphaelite aesthetic. But yeah it's not just this picture.

Painting "The Debate", presumably the scene where Smeagol and Gollum argue over whether to kill or help Frodo. The bottom half of the picture is just churned mud and slick puddles. In the top half, Frodo, head down, lies unconscious. It's reminiscent of the painting of the Death of Chatterton. Smeagol is kneeling all but naked next to him. We see only his leg, part of his lean and muscular torso and his strong arms. The fingers of one hand are hooked into Frodo's waistband. He is evidently dragging Frodo along, but it also looks like he's clawing at his clothing.

Not every multi-faceted consideration of a person with a history of sexual assault is the same as rape apologia. As a victim of not one but multiple instances of sexual assault and rape, nothing makes me more tired then people burying all nuance. That's also the last I'm going to say about it.
