![Through the CSA, Congress gave us our policy—state law notwithstanding. U.S. Const. art. VI, cl. 2; see, e.g., Raich, 545 U.S. at 29 (“The Supremacy Clause unambiguously provides that if there is any conflict between federal and state law, federal law shall prevail.”); Trevino, 7 F.4th at 427 (“[I]t is an elementary feature of our federal system that a state statute cannot override or amend federal law.”). And the RFA didn’t accomplish what Hello Farms wishes it did—the legalization or decriminalization of medical marijuana. Congress has contemplated taking that step, but each time it has decided not to. See, e.g., Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2019, H.R. 3884, 116th Cong. (2020) (referred to the Senate Committee on Finance, where the bill died). That leaves us with the obligation of rejecting Hello Farms’s attempt to enforce an illegal bargain. In doing so, we do what many district courts across the country have done, often in agreements much more tangentially related to purchases of marijuana.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:24vva42nxim6zbcmnozegoef/bafkreihpin7c6jcwy5yn6ioturjzeaz7qlaeguxslih4bv4jlodgvecphy)
