stock #photography #macrophotography #abstractphotography #photographersofbluesky #eastcoastkin #botanicalphotography #fineartphotography #flowers #art wondering why they are called 'stock'? they were also called gillyflower, an older name tied to the scent (related to “clove”) photograph.
macrophotograph. purple stock flowers with the mysterious orange brush flower,

Stock flowers are native to Europe and the Mediterranean and became especially popular in Victorian England, where they were valued for their long‑lasting blooms, clove‑like scent, and ornamental appeal.

The name “stock” itself does not refer to the plant’s physical form but to the person who popularized its study and use in gardens and medicine.

They are called “stock” because the name honors Pietro Andrea Mattioli, the Italian botanist who first documented and celebrated the plant’s beauty and medicinal qualities, and whose name is embedded in both the common and scientific names of the flower.

The mayor is again taking $9M in bike and pedestrian safety funds to pay for parking dispute managers. Tell your councilpersons to not let him: denverstreetspartnership.org/the-re…
denverstreetspartnership.org
The real reason we’re not seeing safer streets in Denver
🚨**The Johnston administration is doubling down on****continuing to misuse safe streets funding in Denver’s 2027 proposed budget****.****Tell your city councilperson****that you will not stand for this in the final adopted budget!** 🚨 Mayor Johnston released his proposed 2027 Citywide Budget recently, and he STILL thinks he can get away with misappropriating funds that are supposed to be dedicated to safe streets capital improvements. How much is he siphoning away from bike lanes, crosswalks, and other safety improvements to pay for parking operations, you ask? $8.9M! Before the City Council budget proposal workshop on Thursday, October 8, we’re demanding that Denver find a different way to pay for parking operations. When they head into that meeting, they’ll know this is an issue that matters to their constituents. But it doesn’t stop there! To make sure this never happens again, City Council also needs to amend the ordinance that’s allowing this to happen. Say no to loopholes and tell Denver to deliver the safe streets and multimodal improvements they promised! Denver residents, please complete our email form to have your response sent directly to your councilperson. Friends outside of Denver, you can contact Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez, City Councilor At-Large. **Denver Residents** Email your councilperson **Residents outside of Denver** Email Councilwoman Gonzales-Gutierrez Let’s make sure City Council holds Mayor Johnston accountable for finding a different way to fund his car-parking woes!

I've been tracking down every video directly sponsored by ControlAI. In nearly every case, the content of the video is directly related to ControlAI's message. This begs the question: How much editorial control does ControlAI have over its sponsored videos?
