maybe there was actually a pretty good reason for the 14th amendment to have banned insurrectionists who tried to overthrow the government from serving in government and the decision to just decide it was a dead letter and ignore it was a horrible mistake?

Seems that what should be at the VERY LEAST competing for headline space is DJT’s appointment of Kash Patel as a loyalist who’ll convert the FBI into a tool of revenge. And yet…all pardon, all the time. Fascism is calmly walking into this country because no one will acknowledge that it’s there.
