Remember, DCR said this part of riverbend park had to be closed this year because the construction made it too dangerous. Yeah it’s a minefield out here.

"You have to acknowledge this is cool." Fuck you, no I don't! On Monday, a father of 3 was killed on the Arborway by a teen driver going 50+ in a 25 & launching over the center divider. It's BAD to encourage more Beavis drivers to endanger others & cause more similar crashes

It’s happening!!
A do not enter sign, with an except bikes sign underneath on a signal post on the corner of Mossland and Elm. There’s a purple sign next to it on a separate signpost that says “neighborway” with icons of a child on a scooter, a person wearing a skirt on a bike with a front basket, and a person walking a dogAn electronic traffic sign reading “open for bikes” with a tree turned yellow and a couple of houses in the backgroundThe end of Mossland street facing elm, there are cones blocking it off from traffic (although a few gaps for bikes). There’s also a faint line painted in a cul de sac shape where I assume they’re going to do some painting for a more permanent set of markings and flexposts

I'm beginning a long, slow journey through the surveillance footage that the MA state police were kind enough (*) to send me. The first file is from May 31, 2020 - in the absolute depths of early-pandemic - people took to the streets to protest George Floyd's murder just six days earlier. 1/?

Hey all. It's Saturday night on an occasionally problematic but still government approved holiday weekend. I honestly hope you're not reading this right now. Unplug! Go be in a room with friends! I am in a room with nerd friends, and I am sifting through my recent public records request. 1/?

Some questions: -is this intersection tweak any different from the guerilla job that Erin Murphy crashed out over? -is this Chris Osgood making any structural changes to @streets.boston.gov? -what proactive things are getting started to improve bicycling? -how are @streets.boston.gov staff doing?

Oh, and Boston? The rest of the region would love it if you stopped getting finite 8-figure Federal grants that could have funded other sustainable transpo priorities in the region, and then repeatedly shitting the bed.

@somershade.bsky.social isn't that saying that scientists don't fully understand gravity? Like, technically true, but not in a way that people in the spaces studying that stuff are claiming the gap in knowledge is divine

@pedantic.bike they were being extremely rude and aggressive to the staff, lots of yelling, totally killed my willingness to attempt to understand their POV and try to think of good solutions, just want to ban all driving to the course, rip up the parking lot
