I first started working in the Senate in 1970–56 years ago. I have loved and revered the institution, worked in it and with it over all these decades, with dozens of senators from both parties. I’ve seen bad stuff and bad people along with great ones. Nothing quite compares to Eric Schmitt. 1

Whatever happened to John Fetterman, between the stroke and the mental health issues he's been dealing with, this isn't "just decided that being an anti-Dem troll was more fun." This is profound, and that staff is leaking texts like these shows that they know it. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
In Pennsylvania, Fetterman has receded from the public eye, rarely interacting in person with voters during his three-plus years in office.

When three police officers were killed near Fetterman’s hometown of York last September, he backed out of attending the funeral because it was too long.

Aide
Update on the event:
No one will be allowed to staff you due to number restrictions. The organizers are requiring everyone to be seated by 11:00 am and the funeral will begin at noon and last at least 3 hours. The dress code is formal.[…]
Fetterman
3 hours??
Aide
Yes it’s a very formal ceremony and the equivalent of 3 separate funerals.

This may be a nonstarter

Just horrific—I assumed this was a big factory raid. It was at a bar.
The Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition condemned the operation. Executive Director Sherman Luna released the following statement.
"When more than 100 people are violently rounded up in the middle of the night it sends devastating shockwaves through the entire community. Fathers not returning home to their families, roommates left wondering where their friend is, businesses left shuttered and short-staffed as entrepreneurs and workers don't show up Monday morning.
When we say this administration is trying to reshape our nation in their narrow white nationalist vision, this is what it looks like: disappearing our families, neighbors, friends, and co-workers in the night with no regard for the devastation they leave behind."
