The painting titled “Above and Left” (“Oben und links”) was created by Wassily Kandinsky in 1925. Kandinsky, a pioneering abstract artist, helped define geometric abstraction. The artwork exemplifies this style through colors, lines, and shapes rather than real-world objects.

It seems highly likely we'll have a hard-right government next. Labour is spending the parliament before that not only making itself spectacularly unpopular but also bringing in biometric ID cards, monitoring online behaviour, and undermining human rights protections. At least make it hard for them!

I firmly oppose the government’s plans for compulsory digital ID cards. This is an affront to our civil liberties, and will make the lives of minorities even more difficult and dangerous. It is excessive state interference — and must be resisted.

Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins? He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions. So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?

DNA testing firm 23andMe fined £2.3m by UK regulator for 2023 data hack
Information stolen from US company included details of 150,000 British residents including family trees The genetic testing company 23andMe has been fined more than £2.3m for failing to protect the personal information of more than 150,000 UK residents after a large-scale cyberattack in 2023. Family trees, health reports, names and postcodes were among the sensitive data hacked from the California-based company. It only confirmed the breach months after the infiltration started and once an employee saw the stolen data advertised for sale on the social media platform Reddit, according to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office – which levied the fine.
