"abuser" is not a coherent class of people and your narrowmindedness about how these things happen only opens people up to be harmed even more. anyone can cause this kind of harm, and plenty of them do it entirely unintentionally. that doesnt reduce the harm but like come on

i wonder if people realize just how many of those around them have been involved in sexual violence. and not in a "theres so many rapist boogeymen around" way; its just a fact that sexual violence is deeply entrenched and in fact an essential part of how our current society functions.

id encourage everyone to reconsider how much theyre posting about this, and instead check on your loved ones who you know have been victims themselves. these things are always so triggering and it can be very isolating on socmed when its all anyone wants to talk about

it is genuinely comforting to know im not the only person feeling like this entire thing fucking sucks and shouldnt have happened this way

i would honestly give anything to have my assaulter publicly admit what she did to me and that she deeply harmed me forever. it would do a lot to heal my pain, at least in my case. then maybe i could feel like it truly was an accident rather than malice. but thats just meeee

Coloured illustration of Grace and Mari from "Sayonara, Lara" in which I drew some of my favourite scenes from the anime. On the bottom left, Mari is holding an injured Gon-chan. Grace looks down at her with a slight smile on her face. On the top left, there's Lara's braid. And on the bottom right, Grace and Rigmor sit together on a rock.

great but given this was evidentally pretty public and decently known information, you always have to ask how much does anyone bother to just check rq

goodbye lara comic set between episodes 2-3. first page shows mari looking over lara early in the morning, noticing the hot cocoa can in her hands. mari sets the can down and grabs the stuffed fish on her bed.

second page of the comic shows mari holding the stuffed fish and looking over at lara for a moment. mari walks away ready for her morning workout, with a cozy Lara cuddling the fish stuffy in the background.

the gleefullness with which people will circulate the trauma of somebody else, with zero care for if *they* want this publicized, never ceases to disgust me. none of you give a fuck about victims!

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a beetle is on the phone in his house. He says, “hey man— for the party tonight… don’t bring any poop.” Panel 2: on the other end of the call is a dung beetle. He responds, “really? You sure?” Panel 3: shrugging towards another dung beetle, the first dung beetle says, “he says they’re good on poop.” Somewhat incredulous, the second dung beetle says, “I just rolled it!” He is leaning against a mostly out of frame huge ball of poop.

this tweet lives so rent free in my mind

A tweet, "I hear the new Madoka Magica movie is only going to be screened for the people who deserve it," being quoted with a stock image of a man at a cash register at a movie theatre with the text "What's that anon? One ticket? You do know you also have to pay for your headmates, right? What are those? Sorry anon, but I don't think I can let you into this one."

I understand some people may be disappointed with it but this was literally the queerest and most joyful and hopeful finale I have ever watched. rewatched the lara finale and i still love it. the experience of ignoring your pain for so long that it feels like crawling through knives once you confront it. love as salvation but not a panacea. women need each other. stumbling is walking. partings are not goodbyes. words are never enough.
