At this point even if the queerness was unintentional (which I think is an unfair assumption to make about this show which was VERY INTENTIONAL in all its decisions) Goodbye Lara is one of the openly queerest anime I’ve ever watched.

Excellent read! Touching on a lot of points I’ve been thinking on and making.

Honestly the finale of Goodbye Lara was above and beyond what I wanted. I understand some people may be disappointed with it but this was literally the queerest and most joyful and hopeful finale I have ever watched. I will miss this show so much but it was worth every minute #goodbyelara #laramari

I quite literally do not understand how you can watch the Goodbye Lara finale and not feel a swell of hope and queer joy. I’m writing a retrospective on this show but it is legit baffling that people don’t think this was explicitly gay enough

Goodbye, Lara absolutely stuck the landing. Hard to see any anime original topping this show for the rest of the year. The gayest and most trans anime of the year as well.

Goodbye Lara Ill say it with my full chest. I truly & utterly loved this show. It’s been a while since a piece of media has made me grapple with so many different emotions. The final few minutes are a tough pill to swallow but one I think was ultimately the right ending for the show. need to ost btw

I might be incendiary on purpose with this But some of the reactions I saw in regards to the goodbye Lara ending really make me think that there's too many grown ass adults who can't understand anything unless it's explicitly spelled to them like it's a school textbook

Goodbye Lara has a beautiful ending that I think I need to sit with for a bit before I really can love it. Endings are difficult things to sit with especially when they are attatched to shows like Goodbye Lara

I didn’t expect the Little Mermaid anime to have this much of a death grip on my very soul, but here we are.

Every so often I see takes online that make me question if literacy is even possible in the current world we live in. How are people this bad with takes?

RIP Hayden Panettiere 🌸🖤 #kingdomhearts #fanart

An illustration of Kairi and Xion from Kingdom Hearts. They lean on each other in a field of flowers that represent them (Kairi's heart piece, and aster flowers for Xion) while their respected keyblades stand beside them. The kingdom hearts moon iconography is drawn right behind them.

Wait Revue Starlight is a sapphically charged about a bunch of theater kids having magical sword fights (with musical numbers no less) to become the star and nobody thought to tell me that?

sayonara lara spoilers: a trans masc anglerfish finding gender euphoria in attaching himself to a larger and more powerful woman in a display of chivalric romance that crosses decades and species. congratulations anime, you finally found a version of heterosexuality that works.

FYI: Boycotting HP merch/books/etc isn’t “censorship” it is *boycotting* because of what the receipts are used for, in the same way boycotting Starbucks over Gaza is boycotting not censorship.

Tali And Jack swap top spot so much. Really wish Jack was a companion in 3 she was so good. The lack of any ME2 new companions on the crew in ME3 was actually so depressing, and personally Jack made the most sense in my mind for the return. Her or Grunt
