President Macron, "Brexit has cost the UK 8% of GDP.. Brexit is the biggest lie of the last 30 years" My view: Brexit was sold as a route to greater prosperity: less bureaucracy, more money, new trade opportunities Instead, Britain put new barriers between itself and its largest trading market.

I’ll say again - half of all Briton’s don’t fly and 10% of us take half of all flights - cheap flights are not for hard up ordinary people, they definitely are not an essential. VAT has just been taken off energy bills (which are an essential) we should pay for that with VAT on flying.

We should have learned from Brexit; if you treat the propaganda and troll networks as a speech issue rather than a coercive and realtime security threat then the manipulation of the population will never end. Running factchecks isn’t enough; halting propaganda mills needs action.

Why the f**k do we not classify the social media companies as “publishers”? They would then be subject to the existing law that makes a publisher responsible for what it publishes. It should not make any difference that what the social media companies publish is digital rather than ink on paper
