Wimbledon Windmill - our iconic windmill sails will be turning at specific weekends (every 5 weeks/ wind dependent) to check everything is still working. At 2pm on Saturday & Sunday, a WPCC Ranger will be up in the roof and releasing the brake so the sails go round! www.wimbledonwindmil...

Best to find a specialist, the magnetic part can begin to separate from the backing as tapes age (“sticky shed”). Talk to Leicestershire Archives first to see if they can recommend. I’m not sure anyone I know with the right expertise is on BlueSky but I may have contacts on other platforms

Of course we’re now into the season of nocturnal encounters with rutting red deer stags in Richmond Park. 200 kg animal coming out of the dark outside the reach of my bike lights moving faster than I can ride with a headful of sharp pointy things can concentrate the mind somewhat

Vredenburg: A Busy Street Without the Cars
Objectively, Vredenburg in Utrecht is a very busy street. And yet, when I give guided tours, some people keep telling me that I have no idea what a really busy street looks like. What do they mean? Probably that, in their mind, a street cannot be busy when it does not have private cars. There aren't any here now. But it wasn’t always like this.
