On This Day! 40 years ago! Monday 29th September 1986. A young Radio 2 DJ called Ian Dempsey appeared at 4pm on @rteone to present Dempsey’s Den. Hosting links in between the kids programming, with competitions, phone ins, the birthday roller, pop videos and guests dropping by for a chat.
