I haven't run one on my computer since last fall, but I've heard the good ones right now are Gemma 4 for laptops with 16GB RAM, Qwen 3.6 (35B-A3B) for intensive coding, and Kimi K2.6 for agentic stuff. I don't have a computer with enough RAM for the good ones 😅
