One of the things I notice about phones changing clocks automatically is that the understanding of time zones has diminished. People write EST, PST or GMT rather than the (correct atm) EDT, PDT or BST. I'd be happy with ET/PT/UK time or similar.

So Farage resigns on 7th July, just over two years after the election. Various benefits kick in at the two-year mark, so several do not because he resigned mid-term. I think his calculation was to get the benefits, then go for the much more lucrative speaking circuit because he's clearly not an MP.

It would be really insightful to see which MPs have shares in water companies, healthcare companies, Big Tech etc. That way we can see how certain decisions are being made. Same for executives of OFWAT, OFGEM, OFCOM etc etc...

We didn't stay there that night, instead driving from Boston to the other side of NYC overnight ahead of the Washington DC show the next day. I have never been so scared doing the speed limit on the motorway and having double length car transporters overtake me weaving in and out of lanes. Ye gods.

The oldest books were on accountancy and finance. The next lot had titles like, "What to do if your marriage is on the rocks", "Therapy for couples", and then "So you're getting a divorce, what now?" The newest ones were about making money from your house on Airbnb. 3/4

And then when we got in we found that the guy renting it out would be downstairs in the basement while we were all there.
