Every time your electricity bill goes up for the next 10 years, it can be traced back to this Administration’s actions. They are making solar and wind power illegal to build in the United States. They are artificially restricting supply while demand is going up.

The lead prosecutor on the Adams investigation has resigned from the federal prosecutor's office in Manhattan rather than agree to file a motion seeking to dismiss the corruption case against the mayor. In his resignation letter, Hagan Scotten wrote that any federal prosecutor
"would know that our laws and traditions do not allow using the prosecutorial power to influence other citizens, much less elected officials." He added: "If no lawyer within earshot of the president is willing to give him that advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me."

The credulous language with which the legacy media is describing an effort by billionaires to loot the federal government. Privatizing prisons makes the more cruel. Privatizing the post office betrays a promise of access made at nation's founding. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/06/u...
A core goal of Mr. Musk and the Silicon Valley set has been *to improve the efficiency of government services.* One tech executive who has been seen at Mar-a-Lago, the investor Shervin Pishevar, has called for an agenda that pushes substantial privatization of American government functions, such as the Postal Service, NASA and the federal prison system, and the creation of an American sovereign wealth fund.

There's a lot of talk about the inroads Trump made in Chicago, but a large part of why many communities shifted right was b/c of a staggering drop-off in the number of Democratic votes cast for Harris vs Biden, not a gain in votes for Trump www.wbez.org/government-p...
A bar chart depicting with a header that says: Democratic drop-off was highest in majority-Black communities. The chart shows the change in votes cast for Harris and Biden versus Trump between 2020 and 2024. Majority Black communities lost 72,212 votes for Harris versus Biden and gained 6,549 votes for Trump between 2020 and 2024.

Excluding California (still lots of mail ballots out in a big enough state that is heavily tilted, so I excluded it to avoid assumptions) we are tracking an 11% turnout decline nationally. All of that decline came from fewer Dem votes cast, though the drop was smallest in swing states.
Turnout Change R Vote Change D Vote Change
 Safe D -11.4	-2.8	-16.5
 Safe R -3.3	2.1	-9.5
 Swing -1.4	2.1	-4.3
 Total -11.3	0.7	-25.2
Note: Excludes California due to very large number of outstanding mail ballots
