Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

In high school, my teachers taught us to investigate source material. Where information came from, who was telling it, who they were telling it to. Not all information is created equal. Anyway, it took me a while to realize that level of analysis, fundamental in my life, is not widely taught.

Again: AI is a technology but it's also an ideology; that ideology is Bossism; neither bosses nor AI advocates really understand what most people do in their jobs so both assume AI can do it. They're *trying* but if these tools could replace jobs beyond Junior Software Developer, we'd know.

As a reminder, we're not talking a cheeky top-up of a few quid here. You know, rounding a deal up to a convenient milion. In 2018 alone, only £11m of their sponsorship was legit. The rest - £134 MILLION QUID (according to the Premier League report) was Abu Dhabi top up funding, via the sponsors.
