It's insane to me that so many humans don't understand that if you care for your citizens it reduces crime and illness which in turn reduces costs to taxpayers. The false economy and the scarcity mindset needs to be addressed. #dobetter #makeadifference #bethedifference

Skydance now owns Nick, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and MTV, effectively ending US TV animation as we know it. Countless jobs will be lost, and fewer new shows will be created. An apocalyptic scenario for cartoons, yet it's maybe the 5th-worst thing about the Paramount-WB merger!

Did you know you only need a small brain to make silly little drawings?
4 panel comic:
Panel 1: pink blob guy on a table, pencil in their hands. Grey circle on a piece of paper and a glass of water on the table. They say “look here”
Panel 2: Proudly, they hold up the drawing of a grey blobby character on two stick legs up in the air. The pink blob says “I drew this!”
Panel 3: Satisfied they sit back down on the table. They now go “it’s not much, but..” The grey drawing looks a bit peeved because the drawer is calling it “not much”
Panel 4: But it’s okay, because now the pink blob is very pleased finally. He says “it came from my brain!” Holding the pencil up. The grey drawing blob is happy again, too. End well, all well!

There's a genuine burden in thinking systemically. Once you see climate change, biodiversity loss, resource consumption, inequality and technological risk as interconnected, you can't unsee it. And the most evil among us see it all too, they just choose to keep fucking going.

ink illustration of a blooming cactus against an off-white background. The cactus has a rounded, heavily spined body with dramatic, deep black shadows and fine white crosshatching to show texture. Perched directly on top is a large, fully opened flower featuring layered petals defined by detailed line work and bold black shading near the center. A small, spiny offshoot grows along the lower right base.

Ballpoint pen and colored pencil.

At the top of the piece we see the delicately drawn branches and leaves of an apple tree. Just beneath the tree limbs, a bat is flying with one of the green apples in its mouth. This is when the morphing begins, reader. A sequence of 13 drawings show the bat morphing into a teeny witch (with completion of the morph around drawing #9). The morphing creates a spiral leading us to the center of the page where the little witch is running towards her basket filled with apples. It’s likely she’ll re-morph into a bat again and the morphing pattern will continue.

A few months ago I got to design the staff t-shirt for The Hobbit x MTG! I relished painting some of the pivotal characters and elements of the story. The stylization is inspired by Tolkien's own paintings, and I wanted it to look as though Bilbo had drawn these things in his book.
A stylized collection of images from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Featuring characters Smaug, Bilbo, Beorn, and Gollum, and artifacts like the One Ring, Thorin's Key, the Arkenstone, and Sting.
