Wind set new a new record and was the largest source of electricity generation in February, with Cork and Kerry back as top wind producers following January's unprecedented upset by Offaly. This and much more in the latest "Irish Grid Monthly", available now to all our newsletter subscribers!
A treemap of the electricity mix on the island of Ireland with the following fuel types: battery, pumped storage, biomass, hydro, solar, wind, oil, gas, and waste-to-energy. Larger sources are annotated with the GWh and percentage of total generation that source comprised.

London is fast becoming a cycling city. As each new piece in the network appears—which has more than quadrupled from 90 to 431 km since 2016—so do new cyclists. Its infrastructure now sees a stunning 1.5 million daily users—a 43% spike since 2019—moving nearly half as many people as the Tube below.🧵

Marino and Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd areas need to come together to cut rat running
Comment & Analysis: Residents of the Marino and Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd areas of Dublin need to come together to curb rat-running in their adjoining areas. Dublin City Council has rejected calls from Richmond Rd/Grace Park Rd residents for a trial of a filtered permeability measure in their area, while the promised Marino Neighbourhood Traffic Scheme is long delayed, with no progress.
