It's amazing how October 13 saw both one of the worst SpongeBob episodes premiere (Whatever Happened To SpongeBob in 2008) and one of the best episodes premiere (Legends Of Boo-kini Bottom in 2017).

I think a case of this could be made with the Marvel Rising version of the character given how she and Doreen Green/Squirrel Girl are very close. They even have an image on TV tropes. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwik...

The Ariel episode "Marina Neptina" ends with Marina thanking Ariel for making her part of her world. Marina is voiced by Jodi Benson, which makes the line a nice little nod to her own role as Ariel.

-follow the proportions, posing, and expressions seen in the storyboards. So they wouldn't try to snap characters heads into the shape from the model, for example, but they'd remember to add a pants pocket if we didn't add a pants pocket in the storyboard.

4) Once again, I cannot stress enough, if something is in the reference sheets it doesn't mean that thing is canon or is "on model". For example, for character designs, I often told our animation team to follow the details of the character sheet (add a zipper, put a loop in Tulip's hair) but-

3) You might see notes in the files that aren't a good look. Remember, you don't know where those notes came from or why they were written down or drawn. Sometimes people write stupid things when they're not thinking about it. Don't jump to conclusions about who wrote or drew what and why.

2) Remember, just because a reference sheet says something doesn't mean that it's "canon" or that when something didn't look like the reference in the show that it's wrong. The show is the final work, these are just things to work FROM when creating it.

Few things to remember about the Cartoon Network production art leak: 1) I doubt many artists are upset. Most of them are probably happy that people can finally see their work. Can't speak for everyone, obviously, but... likely. There are probably a few artists who can update portfolios now.

All this Cartoon Network leak stuff reminds me of how, for well over a decade, one of my most treasured pirated downloads was all the incidental music from the Inspector Gadget TV show soundtrack. That kind of thing just doesn't get released, so when you CAN get it, you hold the fuck onto it.
