Harry Potter at least had two important derivative works: The Methods of Rationality and My Immortal. One is a puerile power fantasy, laughably badly written, with a less than adolescent insight into the world, and a tragically transparent author insert main character. The other is My Immortal.

I honestly would never make it in Starfleet. Always in Star Trek there's some peril and it's like, "We're all going to die in 7 minutes unless..." And I would have to give up right there because there is no task that I could possibly accomplish in less than 7 minutes no matter how high the stakes.

What dissapointed me about the Dune movies is that the reason Paul Atreides can do things like use the Voice and drink the Water of Life is just that he's a special boy when it's supposed to be because he's non-binary.

An electrician has told the BBC how he set up an illegal meter bypass for a friend's business, only for the shop to burn down weeks later.

He is warning families struggling to pay soaring fuel bills not to "dice with death" to save money, as a BBC investigation reveals energy theft has risen sharply in the cost-of-living crisis.

Tony, not his real name, from Manchester, said: "I've been doing sparking for the last 30 years and what I've seen over the last four or five years is horrendous.

"I do a lot of inspections and come across DIY tampering most days - often in houses where kids are running about. If they put their hands in the board, they're dead."

My problem with this Ancient Geek Batman helmet is that it's not outrageous enough, authentic Greek Bronze Age armour was ridiculous in the best possible way.

The Batman armor from the coming Odyssey film. It looks like black plastic with cut out eye peices, like Batman's cowl only sporting a black crest like a Greek helmet.

This reconstructed bronze age Mycenaean armor is basically a tube made of metal bands that completely enclose the hips and a kind of shapless bronze torso piece. A high bronze turtleneck covers most of the face. It comes with a conical helmet made of boar tusks.

In the 2010s, the Icelandic tv station Channel 2 accidentally added subtitles from a gritty crime drama to an episode of Teletubbies. I have translated some of the highlights
