AI is the Gyges' ring of student work: it offers perfect concealment of wrongdoing. If Glaucon is right, then everyone will use it to do injustice (cheat), & will be wise to do so. If Socrates/Plato is right, then doing so also harms the wrong-doer, whose soul will be malformed into misery by it.

Anyone have a way to reach the folks at the Horkheimer Nachlass in Frankfurt aside from the general contact info on the Frankfurt uni site? There are many insane characters, for both good and evil, in the history of biology, but I do find this lineage of critical scientists to be an important historical thread to reflect on! The main hope is that whatever is produced later on from this will reflect even more critically than my intro!
