I really disagree with this take tbh Yes animation deserves more respect but its no better than live action media as both can produce absolutly amazing stuff We need to stop making everything a competition because there all a perfectly valid way to tell stories

Honestly, I think both mediums are valid. There is no right or wrong way. Now, when it comes to making live action films based on animated properties...well, that can vary but it rarely works.

Lakia to me is one of those studios that is more concerned of quality over profitability. Sure it would be nice to see Wildwood have a successful box office and who knows, maybe it will. But like Kubo and the Two Strings and Missing Link, they will be remembered for said quality regardless

The fact that Coyote Vs. Acme both managed to be somewhat of a box office success after all it went through really is proof that execs do not know anything about what the audience wants from films. And I'm glad it was one because it deserved to be since it was just great.

There's a good chance that no studio would've taken a risk on Sinners had it not been for Ryan Coogler's proven history with IPs like Creed and Black Panther. Dude's beyond talented regardless of course, but the point is, there's a symbiotic relationship to be had with originals and IPs.

Definitely not happy the merger got approved, but I’m not gonna bow my head in despair. I’m still fighting for a brighter future for filmmaking no matter what and I know this merger will only hurt Ellison in the long run. No matter what, I’m still holding strong for good movies.
