Nothing will change unless people actually go change it. No amount of begging, pleading, demanding, or sucking up to the people in power will ever get them to stop. They will only stop if we get together and stop them instead of waiting for the system to magically reverse itself.

One of the reasons that liberals are so ineffective at stopping Trump is because they’re primarily engaging in symbolism, not substance. The latter requires that you take personal risks and engage in behavior that may be just, but isn’t always legal, and that’s anathema to the liberal ethos.
