Something interesting to note this week for #BB28 is that if Taylor wins the Blockbuster, there will be no more Houseguests who have cast a vote at every eviction (the last two being Drew and Mallory, who have both won the BBBB once).

using an AI (which is already steeped in ethics controversies) to read out scripts about ***ethics***, waste, fraud, abuse, etc, is deeply ironic. He also announced he's hired Natalie Walton-Anderson today. Safe to say my support for him ends here.

You do not get to denounce bodyshaming but then use bodyshaming against bad people. Either you think bodyshaming is wrong because it's a fundamentally flawed way of criticizing other people, or you are *pretending* to feel that way so you can sound more progressive than you really are.

Ya know what? Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
Post from 36th District Republicans on facebook that includes an AI generated image of Alexis as the statue of liberty in rainbow colors with a march of people holding trần’s pride flags and a large flag that says “Seattle Welcomes Trans Refugees” the post then states:
“Seattle City Council will vote Tuesday (8/11) on $300,000 to fund LGBTQIA organizations in response to the "emergency" of trans refugees flooding Seattle. Seattle Mayor Katie
Wilson rejected their plea to declare an emergency so they are pleading their case to the City Council. Join us Tuesday at 2:00 at Seattle City Hall to voice objection to this funding.
Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck claims to work for the people but the work she does only benefits HER people, the trans and queer community. She's building her career with our tax dollars.

I’ll keep saying this until I can’t: I can’t think of a demographic whose vote is more critical than those who are ward of the government being elected. And no citizen should ever be stripped of their vote. This is the greatest lever for accountability and reasoned legislation I can think of.

Landlord, Michael E Heijer accidentally CCed the entire Seattle city council, asking fellow landlords to testify against rental junk fee banning. Said renters who testified in favor of banning junk fees were the “unemployed left trying to stick it to the man.” Still think this isn’t a class war?
Thanks Wes;
I wrote a similar one and sent it, but didn't cc anyone as I am not sure how they treat that.
I met with Lake Union Partners yesterday and they had a group of developers speaking in front of the Seattle City Council complaining about this item. They were a handful of people who spoke against it, and then the unemployed left of course had a whole bunch of people trying to "stick it to the man" as they want other people pay for their living accommodations.
Very sad.
So, Jack, Nevin et al please keep writing more emails to them so they know that we don't like this at all and keep some pressure on them
Thanks and have a great weekend all.

I've worked in Democratic digital comms for a long time and pay attention to campaign metrics across platforms. Increasingly I'm seeing Dems who crosspost on X, Bluesky, and Threads get better engagement on Bluesky even with far fewer followers. Here's @jamestalarico.bsky.social's clip last night:
Social media analytics for different platforms and screenshots of James Talarico speaking on stage in his clip across platforms.

There's a lot of data in the analytics and it shows that Bluesky has the highest engagement rate with the least amount of followers at 19.62%

Been meaning to crosspost my recent-elections comments: Election results across the nation from the past week were very clear in their message to the GOP: the President's ability to sway election results towards his preferred candidate holds strong in 2026, and so help you God if you cross him.
