@commonmugwort.bsky.social Congratulations on the win!! 300 points is a serious result. The team was good although it was disappointing he did not get the Thetis answer correctly 😉 In any case well done to the team and on to the next round!! (although you know the results already)

English obviously is not the only language spoken in the world. However, the research below shows how stupidly ignorant it is to refer to "soil as dirt" as Americans tend to do. Dirt has nothing to do with the complexity that sustains us all.

I also emailed the company making these cameras and they confirmed that these cameras don’t record on their own. It’s not their primary use. Maybe the CG should hire someone to do the recording but as it stands this is not possible, unlike a dashboard camera on a steady highway/road or street camera

These thermal cameras do not record on their own. They are not conventional cctv cameras. Even if they did (they can with certain configurations) someone needs to actively record, adjust for movements (it was a chase, not a smooth sail, right?) and it is pitch black

The obvious point here is that there is no one solution/blueprint for all. There are things like history, culture, terrain, demographics to consider. Technology helps but the answer( if there is one answer to be found) is that there will need to be a combination of all available transport systems.
