I needed 300 more points to book a flight on Southwest Airlines yesterday. So I purchased the points. 24hrs later, the points are still not in my account. By the fine print, It may take up to 72h, by which time I expect the seats will no longer be available.

For all the focus on the tech it is interesting they use pen and paper to take notes. No devices on the table and possibly the room for security reasons is my guess. If they had Meta glasses on they wouldn’t need the nameplates. 😄 Also odd to have the conduit exposed on the wall? Weirdos.

I'm writing to share that October 1st through October 8th is Week Without Driving.

Week Without Driving is an annual event to provide people a prompt to make changes in the way they move around their community for just one week. In doing so they may see the built world a little differently and see ways to make positive change.

If you are able to change the transportation mode of one trip this week, that is a great opportunity to learn. If you are not able to, don't worry, you have not failed! It is now a chance to reflect and talk with friends, families and constituents about why it was not possible to have an option.

As council members you have an important responsibility to shape the community for generations. I'm hopeful that introducing this week to you, gives you a chance to see new insights.

Wife had her tire come off her wheel in the way to work this morning. Rushed to help her and now sitting on the shoulder of a freeway in rush hour traffic. Living this experience up close it is clear why people are killed on the side of the road. No one slows down.

Knocked another 13 doors between dinner and dusk for the local Democratic Party. Nice cool evening in my e-bike. Met two voters for the first time in four years, knocking these doors. And had good conversations with two voters that I’ve met multiple times. Good blue energy in #Kansas.
