This game made me sad just doing the tutorial in case anyone wanted to argue if video games are capable of causing emotions and therefore worthy to be considered as art and important cultural artifacts representing who we are as a society.

I got this in a humble bundle for steam and have been slowly going through to cull my library and this one is being tossed out. Well executed but just made me so sad. An early precursor of tower defense, but the global destruction symbolized by little missles on this map was pretty heavy.

I'm writing to share that October 1st through October 8th is Week Without Driving.

Week Without Driving is an annual event to provide people a prompt to make changes in the way they move around their community for just one week. In doing so they may see the built world a little differently and see ways to make positive change.

If you are able to change the transportation mode of one trip this week, that is a great opportunity to learn. If you are not able to, don't worry, you have not failed! It is now a chance to reflect and talk with friends, families and constituents about why it was not possible to have an option.

As council members you have an important responsibility to shape the community for generations. I'm hopeful that introducing this week to you, gives you a chance to see new insights.

Just finished knocking doors for Democratic voters in Kansas. Took 2 hours. Met some nice people with lots of enthusiasm at the door. No one was grumpy! New mantra, if you see Halloween decorations then you should be doing something to help turn out the vote.

“Bridging the Gap by Black Eyes Peas is an overlooked album that captures the 90s to 2000s transitional phase. While they only released 3 singles there are some fun songs on deep cuts like “Bridging the Gap” & “Go Go.” Although the 2nd one sounds like Busta’s “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See.”

On top of the news from Kansas voters rejecting the GOP attempt to wrest control of the state Supreme Court, make sure you also take notice of a #Kansas judge who struck down multiple restrictions on reproductive healthcare as unconstitutional. johnsoncountypost.com/2026/08/04/j...

The same day he was sworn in as Kansas’ newest supreme court justice, a Johnson County judge issued a ruling that several abortion restrictions are unconstitutional.

state-mandated disclosures that abortion providers must give patients at least 24 hours in advance of an abortion,

Lenexa, KS city council got it right be denying the rezoning for this monstrous auto centric plan.

Went to my first family group bike ride this morning hosted by @bikewalkkc.bsky.social It is part of a program called “Grounds to Grounds” that goes form coffee shops to local playgrounds.

Just saw my first Amazon Drone delivery one neighborhood over from me. About 400 ft away. It was noisy enough to make people stop and look. Was there less than two minutes. I don’t like the version of the future with more of these in the air. Please be as unpopular as VR headsets.
