A kidney-disease-linked protein variant failed to reach worm cilia and fell to about 15% of its normal level in nerve cells. A healthy copy still reached cilia and supported normal behavior. doi.org/hcj9sv

Many apply to grant writing: Writing tip #12: Economy of expression. Strunk and White said, “Omit needless words.” Blaise Pascal wrote to a friend: “I’m sorry I wrote you such a long letter; I didn’t have time to write a short one.” Use 3 words rather than 4; be ruthless. Shorter = more powerful.
