So, Mortal Kombat II was a lot of fun. It was exactly what it needed to be. The experience of the game on the big screen and nothing more. Fights were good. Dialogue was fun. Story fixed a LOT of issues the games had and set the scene for Shinnok, the Deadly Alliance, and Onaga for the sequels.
