I'm glad not eating meat helps the environment very significantly, and that pretty much all my health issues are gone. but even without that, I'd still be vegan. the bonds I've made with animals over the years, and their suffering, are enough for me to make that decision no matter the consequences.

It not only helped me shift my focus to acceptance, but it asked what kind of person do I want to "be" as we go through through collapse. It made me want to be a kinder person. I found the book to be quite therapeutic.

I truly appreciate your critique. TBF, for better or worse- I have strong empathy skills -I wail for others. Ms. Wilson's writing from a place of privilege didn't escape me-though it still didn't negate the fact that her book gave me a sense of validation-(so many don't see what we are seeing).
