It took parts of Saturday and Sunday, but we eventually got the container filled with hay. This should last us through the winter and until we cut the fields again next summer for hay.

Syrup took time out of his morning climb to admire his surroundings. To use nonhuman animals for food, entertainment, clothing, domestication, etc. is to commit injustice against them by violating their most basic right of not being the property of others.

This past week has been very busy for us. One of the things we’ve been dealing with is our first couple of cases of bumblefoot with Claudio and Vivi. Every day we’ve been making sure to take multiple steps to ensure their feet and bandages are clean.

Maypop has been experiencing some skin irritation, which resulted in her scratching and causing a sore on her leg. After a visit with the vet last week and some prescribed medication, her leg is starting to look better.
