This is unfortunate news but hopefully for some it will be a wake up call that this summer was not "normal" and that our new normal is going to be increasingly warm, humid, unpredictable, and uncomfortable. We need to start preparing now for the future of our environment and climate.

Momentum is growing against data centres. They're using a quarter of our electricity while paying half the price that households are paying. It's time to pull the plug and stop Ireland being the dumping ground for the toxic waste of the 21st century.

When myself and Laura were looking for a house to buy, every estate agent for every property we looked at (regardless of it being a dump or well maintained) suggested "And this would be a great property to rent out." That's just what "the market" is currently - an opportunity to profit from others.

The Minister does not have his finger on the pulse of this issue People who are perpetually renting cannot retrofit where they live Many are forced onto predatory prepay power schemes which are exorbitant Homeowners also don't just have cash or savings around to retrofit. Grants aren't sufficient!

The rightward march of European centre parties continues on, day by day. The erosion of rights for migrants and refugees coupled with making it more difficult and cumbersome to become a citizen is all a part of the same goal - to sanitise Europe and reinforce a white, Euro-centric supremacy.

This phrasing is purely directed at their voter base, but it should be illustrative for people who don't fit into the traditional workers model. What about carers? What about parents? It's nauseating listening to this tripe when you do get up for work early and your money goes less far each week!

My most controversial opinion is that cars should be geo-fenced to the road type they are on (motorway, national, regional, etc) and restricted to the countries maximum speed limit when sold.

Neoliberals will bend over backwards to support and develop technocrats dreams at the detriment of the general population. Developing more data centres undercuts our emissions savings and our ability to develop improved housing and transport infrastructure for all.

That harm to women and girls in general is not taken seriously, combined with multiple high-profile men continuing to get passes based on power, talent, or activism with other causes, creates a very worrying landscape for women. Tolerance is still way too high. It needs to start actually mattering.

Anti-fascist activists vastly outnumbered the handful of bigots that marched in Galway today. Kerry's Michelle Keane and Derry's (no party) Hermann Kelly along with David 'the chariot' O'Reilly attended, with John (I'll attend any bigotfest) Molly to round it all off. Things you love to see ✊

Laura and I lived with her in-laws for 4 years, in a mobile home for 3 years, to save the money for the deposit for a house. We didn't go out for dinner. We didn't go to the cinema. And we certainly didn't attend destination weddings. Outrage piece or genuinely out of touch with reality?

For such a populist party, it's bonkers Sinn Féin aren't getting behind a legislative move that a large majority of people want to see enacted. Surely a party concerned with national heritage would support the protection and biodiversity benefits of our native breeds?

We will continue to break these records as long as our global emissions continue to rise. It's concerning that this has happened as El Nino continues to gather momentum and looks likely to be an extraordinary event. Who knows what temperature records we could break by the end of the century.
