I’m having a disagreement with work. I currently work on a project but need to hand it over to someone else, for many reasons. I seem to be getting pushback on this. I’m worried that if I continue to work on this project it will have a negative impact on my mental health/wellbeing (it has before).1/

To my non tech normies, PSA: when you share a link, everything after the ? is tracking. Those “query parameters” tell companies exactly how you arrived, what app you clicked, which ad or email sent you, sometimes a unique identifier tied to you. You can delete everything after the question mark.

My old dog is starting to go a bit deaf. Sometimes she doesn’t hear me come home so I get her confused excitement when she wakes up & sees me there. (I do have a little panic every time she doesn’t come to greet me though 💔)

CW: medical procedure. I have a (minor) procedure tomorrow (nothing serious). I’m scared! I think mostly because it’s not a procedure I’ve had before so it’s an unknown. It’s booked for quite early in the morning so at least it will be done as soon as possible (less time for me to worry about it).

I caught a bit of a press conference with the ArtemisII astronauts yesterday. It sounded like the questions were from school children. The astronauts did a fab job of adjusting their language and explaining things in a way the children could understand. Hoping this will create some future scientists

15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage. I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong. Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole. Bill and Bob - I'm coming for you... (Photos AP)

I need to make an appointment with a GP. Every time I’ve phoned recently they haven’t got any advance appointments available so the only option is to phone at 8am to try & get a same-day appointment. That is… not ideal when one of my main symptoms is fatigue… 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

No, Asexuality isn’t a result of SSRI’s. That’s an insult to Asexual people, and totally ignorant of one of the (rare) side effects of SSRI’s. Lack of libido is not the same as being Asexual.

A Robin perches proudly on a snow-dusted wooden post, its bright orange-red breast glowing like a beacon of warmth against the frosty, pale winter backdrop. With its feathers fluffed against the cold and beak open in song, this little garden friend perfectly captures the timeless winter cheer of Robins on #NationalRobinDay.

Every time politicians mention dodgy Covid contracts it's to point out the amount of taxpayers ££ wasted. Fine, but these faulty PPE deals also cost the lives of literally hundreds of health/care staff. This never gets an utterance. Lost cash is not the most important consequence of this corruption.

Many trauma survivors pride ourselves on being particularly independent, & we are-- but scratch the surface, & that independence often comes w/ a side order of fear & resentment that we can't depend on others & had to figure things out growing up we should have had support with.

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.

One of the biggest practical challenges many adult trauma survivors face is that recovery is really hard without adequate support-- but our experiences have made it difficult to relate to many people, & our inner circle is often limited to, like, two other people & some animals.
