Flowering weed in the woods: goldenrod, maybe Solidago caesia, the bluestem goldenrod

Little yellow buds going all the way up a foot-high stem with alternate leaves. The top few have opened into bitty bright yellow flowers

Reunion today. Felt kinda old and out of place... didn't regret going, but also didn't regret taking an emotional support human w/ me (classmate I still know so it wasn't JUST awkward small talk). Also didn't regret going to where other friends were pouring mead at a festival after. Other reunion 👍

Had a decorative little Tabasco pepper plant I got for like $8 from Lowe's and it was looking like it was getting towards the end of it being decorative... now we got some more rain and it's got flowers Guess it's decorative again ( :

Another flowering weed from this morning: marsh dewflower, Murdannia keisak! This is pretty common by the creek... and much bigger than M. nudiflora from last weekend, at almost the size of my pinky fingernail ( :

Two flowers sticking up on lush green stems hanging over lake water: three petals, rich purple at the tips to completely white at the center

Leaves are alternate, flowers grow from the top of a leaf node, stamina are white
